Anita Laipnieks, Founder of LAIPA, will join Journey Home’s End-of-Life Doula cohort in Dundas as a guest speaker to explore the evolving role of independent healthcare advocacy.

Drawing on nearly two decades of experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic, her personal experience as a family caregiver, and her work as a healthcare advocate, Anita will share how LAIPA helps individuals and families navigate complex illness journeys.

The conversation will explore the gaps that can exist between medical care and everyday life, the role of advocacy in connecting the dots, and how healthcare advocates and end-of-life doulas can work alongside one another to support individuals and families with greater clarity, coordination, and intention.
